		<description>I made a liquid version with 1 part borax, 1 part baking soda, and 1 part water. You&#039;re supposed to use washing soda, but I don&#039;t really need that kind of strength in my dishwasher so I didn&#039;t feel the need to buy it. I haven&#039;t used it yet, but I will this morning and I&#039;ll let ya know how it goes.

You can also make your own laundry soap with borax, washing (or baking) soda, and soap. I have yet to do this as we still have some store bought stuff to get through.

Yay for your wife making her own soap! I plan to as soon as I can afford all the things necessary. And can convince my husband that I can handle myself around lye. :)

It&#039;s been 4 months since I gave up shampoo and conditioner and my hair has never been healthier. I use baking soda and vinegar, but I hear homemade soap works well too. Yay homemade!</description>
