It’s Official!
I’m finally a Washintonian! Is that the right word? Whatever.
Richard and I went to the licensing place a few days ago and I just got my ID card in the mail today! I’m also a donor and will be registered to vote soon. Not that I’ll ever vote. I’ll leave that to the people who know what they’re talking about and care.
But yeah! I can officially say I live here now. I’m glad I went with Richard too, because otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to prove that I live here. We had to use his proof and our marriage certificate to prove that I live here too. But the people working there were super nice and very helpful.
Other than that, nothing really exciting has been going on. I did, however, just make some homemade dishwasher soap so we’ll see how that works tonight after dinner. Which will be homemade pizza. So yum.
Congrats on your new ID. How do you make dishwasher soap? We make home made, natural soap, and my wife made a shampoo bar, with avocado oil, scented with vetiver, very lathery……
I made a liquid version with 1 part borax, 1 part baking soda, and 1 part water. You’re supposed to use washing soda, but I don’t really need that kind of strength in my dishwasher so I didn’t feel the need to buy it. I haven’t used it yet, but I will this morning and I’ll let ya know how it goes.
You can also make your own laundry soap with borax, washing (or baking) soda, and soap. I have yet to do this as we still have some store bought stuff to get through.
Yay for your wife making her own soap! I plan to as soon as I can afford all the things necessary. And can convince my husband that I can handle myself around lye. :)
It’s been 4 months since I gave up shampoo and conditioner and my hair has never been healthier. I use baking soda and vinegar, but I hear homemade soap works well too. Yay homemade!
