Penelope’s new digs
Last weekend I upgraded Penelope’s living space. She had chewed up every available surface and destroyed the bottom of her old cage so it was time for a new one. I decided to go with and exercise pen, as it allowed for more room and I could shape it however I wanted. The Pen is quite roomy (2×6 feet) and is tall enough to keep her in. She expressed her deep joy for it by racing back and forth, jumping and doing head shakes (called “binkies”) and tossing all of her toys up in celebration. Then she pee’d and poo’d on everything to mark it as hers. She has been quite happy and very playful all week with no signs of stopping. A very good investment indeed. Heather and Valerie especially love it because it lets them see her more clearly, and it’s so big that they can sit in the pen with her and be right there in the action. Penelope’s happy, I’m happy, life is good. :)
So here I am, the very essence of n00b, starting my own blog. Why? Fuck if I know. But at least now I can share the vast wonders of my mind as they spew forth like so many cupcakes onto a clown. That is to say, sweet though unnecessary and kind of terrifying. Yeah, I’m kinda like that.
