Vegas and CES

You may have already heard, but CES this year kinda sucked. The best part was the Digital Experience show on Sunday before CES even started. They had the neatest stuff and lots of free swag. I managed to get Monster’s Cable It to see if it’s bunny proof. Show Stoppers on Monday sucked. Tuesday I won a Zen Stone Plus by Creative which was really exciting because I didn’t have a mp3 player and I really wanted one. Knowing it was my lucky day, I decided to go gambling and I won a good $100 on roulette and a bit on Pai Gow once I figured out how to play. I must admit that I got a bit addicted and didn’t leave the casino until 3am. That’s when my luck ran out. On the cab ride back to my hotel the suspension or something broke and I spent a good 30 minutes waiting for another cab to show up.

I decided to sleep in on Wednesday while the boys went back out to the convention. I finally hauled my ass out of bed and get to the LVCC only to learn the everyone was at the Sands/Venetian part of CES. Sigh. That night we decided to go gambling in downtown LV. While the boys worked the roulette tables, Christina and I went out to find a cheap Pai Gow table. Apparently there’s no such thing in downtown. We did manage to see the light show, and I must say, that was the best acid trip you can ever have without actually taking the drug. I think. I’ve never done acid so I’m not sure.

I could only take about an hour on the floor on Thursday until my feet started to kill me and I decided to go take a nap. And that was it for CES. Friday was spent finding a UPS store (whee!) and me being pissed that I had to leave on Saturday instead of Sunday like I was promised. The only fun thing I got to do (besides gambling) was go see the X Burlesque show at the Flamingo.  I was so close to the hawtness that I could smell the strawberry scented whatever that they were all wearing. It was the sexiest thing that I’ve seen in a long time. So yummy.

Anywho…where was I? Meh, I’m gonna go think sexy thoughts now.
