Off to a good start
It’s been a long December, and there’s reason to believe that maybe this year will be better than the last.
The move to San Diego was fun and uneventful. Penelope, my rabbit, was such a trooper through the whole thing and is adapting wonderfully. Most of my stuff is in a storage unit and the rest is crammed artfully into Anthony’s already crammed closet. I’m actually in the middle of fixing that. Like most guys, Anthony doesn’t know the word “organize” but I’m teaching him.
Life here has been fun and eventful and very tiring. While living back in Santa Clara I would get about 12 hours of sleep every night and go days without talking, let alone seeing, anyone. Here I wake up at 7:30 or 8 or whenever the girls get up and I spend most days with them and Allison. Needless to say, I have learned to welcome and cherish naps and quiet time. And I don’t mean for the girls. The different sleep schedule and sudden exposure to mommy-dom has taken its toll on me. I’ve been sick for a good week but luckily I’m almost back to 100%. Just in time for Vegas tomorrow!
I am just thrilled beyond words to be going back to Vegas after a brief weekend last year. This year I’ll be staying for a full week and I desperately hope that I remember it this time. Last year is a bit of a drunken blur. Regardless, I know it’s going to be a blast. Yay yay yay!
Other than that, there’s not much to report on. I mean, there’s lots of drama I could go into but that’s really none of your business now is it? ;)
More posts and pictures to come after Vegas.
I have just stumbled upon this post. Incidentally, I also live in San Diego. You won’t regret moving here. It’s a great place to live and work. :)
